With most of the snowmen done, I had some time to turn some small boxes.

This wood is Cherry, that I got from a friend a while back.

Two nice little boxes............

sure are enjoying these! :D

Cheers!

I like the boxes, nut I think the legs need a little more creative though put in. Nails just don't say ARTISTIC to me.

Sorry couldn't help myself.

Actually very nice. I love the grain in these. Good job.

Shoot, I might steal the nail legs ideas. Better than any idea for legs I can come up with....

Stu, your cherry is different than any cherry I am familiar with but considering where you are it is probably a different species, right?

Nice looking boxes. I sure wish you would include dimensions for us....

Funny guy Tyler :D

Mike, I have regular sized hands......

The taller one is about 6" tall by about 2 1/2" wide, the smaller one is about 4" tall and 2 1/2" wide.

The wood is an "Ornamental" cherry, and this tree was sick, that is why it was cut down. The white bits on the first box, are really punky and soft, but hardened up with some thin CA glue they came out fine.

Cheers!

Nice job, Stu-man. :thumb:

I think they'd look a little better with 8 penny legs instead of the 16 penny version you used.
