wanna win a green shop?

Heck, I entered with no qualms. I'd let them plaster my name on the Goodyear blimp over the Rose Bowl for just one of those tools. :D They can do whatever they want with my name and picture if they want to give me the whole kit. ;)

I used to know a guy that made money on every trip to LV.
He is a gemologist & went around to all the pawn shops & picked & chose from the best diamonds & other fine stones found in pawned jewelery & was able to buy them at fairly cheap prices because of the glut of jewelery pawned to get home after the person lost all their money. He brought it home & sold some as it & other stones he put in his own settings to sell. He told me it started when he was down there on a short trip for the military & went in to check out what was being pawned. He started doing it as a hobby & now had to declare it on taxes because it makes him enough to contribute a nice sum to his retirement fund every year.

.......and here I am thinking.........."What does jewelery have to do with Lee Valley........"

I have been to Lost Wages exactly 3 times on business. As a gambling addict (my analysis not a truly medical one), I took $50 each time to play with (no one armed bandits!). I am proud to say that I brought back more than $50 on each trip. Not much on 2 of the 3 trips but the 3rd netted enough 'profit' I had to declare it on my tax return.:thumb:

Now I don't dare go back as I am afraid past success would lead to truly Lost Wages. And staying away from all these casinos that went up in my backyard (Detroit) over the past few years has been difficult but I haven't been yet.

Worth it to me. I would dress like a green weinie and dance on the LasVegas strip for that grand prize.

Frank, can you post pictures of that for us?:rofl:

I think that is the same one that was on the woodwhisper web site. I signed up there for it. I just received an email from festool with some advertising in it, but that was about it.
