8 brothers and 3 sisters

Still practicing :D
This weekend I finished these 8 platters (dia 13.5 inches, h 1.75")
and 3 boxes (dia around 5.25 inches). I used red cedar.
I gave some coats with home made shellac and waxed by hand.

My wife is happy with these presents.
I think she will require a plate rack :D

Regards

PS Sorry for the quality of the pictures

Those are gorgeous, Alfredo. Like Stu said, making one is impressive. Making eight of them that match each other is VERY impressive. Great job!

Those are beautiful Alfredo. And I'm impressed with your ability to make 8 of them that match so well. The red cedar that you have in Mexico must be something different than what I get around Utah.

Very impressive turnings Alfredo! Beautiful matching platters and boxes! I'm with many others here - to turn one item, OK - to turn 2 matching items, that's a challenge - to turn a matching set of 8, no possible at this stage of my developing turning skills! Again, very nice work ! You should be proud of these!!

I have to jump on the bandwagon and say that these are very impressive turnings. The ability to match the plates like you have them really shows off your skills.
