Thanks all for the help/info. I talked to a few guys that all they do is build houses. They told me a turn key home minus land would between $160,000 and $200,000. Talked with a gut next town over you built a house(2600 sqft), used rough sawn lumber from his land and had around $80,000 in materail and permits. So, it is in the price range that we want. Now the wife is not sure if she wants to move.
Which is fine as I just spent $800 getting a new servive run to the garage. It is almost like see is affraid to leave this place where we have lived for 8+ years now(the kids grew up here), so there is a attachment for here. As for the freinds, they wil get paid, but for the most part they will only get paid in food and trade. This is the way me and my freinds by each other for work. Last year it was building a addition on my best freinds house.
