You might be a redneck woodworker if....
You take Vaughn's advice and use bondo (Bondo!) to repair a misplaced dado on the painted cabinet you're making! Bondo, of all things! Worked like a dream. Some people name the pieces of furniture they make. If I were in that habit, I'd call it The General!
You suddenly find out you've got 12 people coming for New Years Eve dinner, and your table only seats 8. Dinner's in 2 hours. What to do? Well, you go to the shop, grab a couple pieces of 3/4" plywood cutoffs, pin them together with a piece of masonite cutoff to get them to the right height, and drill them to accept the pins in the table top. Then you get a *big* tablecloth from Doorlink, and spread it over the whole mess just before the guests arrive!
Worked like a dream, even with rambunctious teenagers who can't keep themselves from leaning on the table. Worked so well, in fact, that it's still on there...
