Apricot Birdhouse

This is a birdhouse I turned as a donation to our local art center's fund raising auction. It's Apricot with lots of cracks filled with coffee (folgers) and CA glue. It's 20" tall by about 6.5" at the widest point and finished with minwax spar urethane for an outside finish. Turned in two pieces (3 counting the perch). Front and rear view.

Curt, that is just gorgeous. I hate it when LOML sees the stuff you turn. Then it's always "how come you don't turn anything that looks like that?":eek::eek:

Yeah, I've learned not to have LOML in the room when I'm looking at Curt's pics. ;) (Although she's already got a Curt-style birdhouse.) I'm still looking out for a suitable log to make another one, though. The neighbor saw the one I made LOML and decided she wants one.
