Bed Extensions

Well after much thought about buying another lathe I decided to add a bed extension to the Nova DVR instead. I also had to get another stand for it. I can now use my monster HF tool on it. I added a bed extension to the Rikon also. Maybe now I won't have turners elbow from the livecenter. I also picked up a modular tool rest set with a box rest. They didn't have enough posts so are going to send me one for the box rest. I also got a 1 1/4" roughing gouge I have been wanting. Anyway got them all together today and I am tired.

Congrats on the new acquisitions, Bernie. :thumb: It's gonna be a different lathe with that extension on it.

Look out hollowing world...here come Bernie. ;)

Congratulations Bernie, yep show us now some hollow form tricks.
Are you thinking about using a hollowing rig?

Yes and I am thinking now of getting the articulating arm unit from Randy.

Thanks for the comments. Yep I hope I am over getting turners elbow since I don't remember to take out the livecenter from the tailstock. At least I can move it out of the road without having to take it off all the time. I had the same idea with the Rikon.
