first of all those of you who use air sanders, whats your prefernce, pad size, orbit size H&L,PSA,hard or soft pad?

now as for a 6" sander electric with intension of using it as a buffer as well. am looking at the bosch 1250 for this, but would like your input, should i get a hard pad, would psa be better what about the pad for buffing? thanks for the info.

Festool 5" Rotax - hook-n-loop.

I like it because of its 'dual action.' It can be a good finish sander, and still be nearly as agressive (but smoother) as a disc sander.

Kinda pricey, though. I think I paid $340, but it's gone up a couple times since then.

thanks tod ,,if i member corectly you dont use vacume on your sander? and to jim the bosch i mentioned has the feature you mentioned on your festool. do you use yours for buffing out at all? have read that its good way to get a satinny feel on a finish. either hand or by machine. if any one uses a sander to buff what pad would you suggest? thaks fo rthe input
