Center runner question

Hi there.

When making chest of drawers, it is advisable to put center runners on drawers that are quite wide respect to the depth of the chest.

However, what would be the border line between puting them or not?
Let's say for instance when the proportion between the depth and the width of the drawer is such and such.

Or: use center runners on any drawer wider than XXXX

Obviously common sense has to be used, but I wouldn´t like to make the web frame of a chest of drawers and find out too late that it would have been better to put a center runner.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I've never actually done this but if the drawers were wider than the depth of the chest, why not use two runners instead of one? It would make the drawer that much more stable.

Any drawer should have at least one runner it would prevent it from binding to the sides.

That's what I think.
