Here's a black walnut hall table I just completed for a wedding gift for the son of a good friend. Simple Shaker style table with cherry butterfly inlays. The first 5 pics were taken just after I applied the final coat of tung oil....hopefully the shine will dull down a bit. The last pic was taken just before the finish went on.

It must be table night here at FWW, huh Scott?

That is a handsome table.

I also did some bow ties on the top of my outdoor table, as well as some patches. I used the same system as yours and it works well!

AGain, beautiful table,

Joe

Good looking table! I really like the way cherry and walnut go together, that's the same combo I used in the table I finished recently.

Great table.

And great wood too, I'm looking forward to use it in one my projects, but here is so expensive that I fear to waste it so I want to be sure that I won't spoil everything.

Beautiful table and a great wedding gift. I wish somebody had given me such a great wedding gift. All I got were some stupid coffee makers and pots and pans. Well, my wife didn't mind receiving those.
