JET 1220VS questions

Will the JET bed extension fit on the JET 1220 VS lathe?

They have a bed extention for the Jet 1220vs.

I have the bed extensions for the 1220.works fine, fits fine.

Super, found it finally, the number on the one I saw didn't list it fitting the 1220 VS. Thinking I might have the Craftsman lathe and duplicator sold so will be putting that money towards this. I am not a bowl turner and don't have the money for one of those big mustard/mayonaise lathes!

You don't need one... unless you're planning on turning bath tubs... your little 1220 will turn up to an 11 7/8" bowl... you'll be really really close to the ways though....

Tom, you had to say that. I have a plan for turning a bowl from a board. Cutting it round attaching to the face plate, then cutting same width circles from the board (say 1 1/2" wide) at a 30 degree angle. Cut the ring loose, take it off, do the next ring and continue on until at the bottom of what would be the bowl. Then they stack, so glue together, put back on the face plate, clean up inside and outside. Sand, seal, deliver! We'll see. Keep fingers crossed on sale of Craftsman. That is THE only way I can consider doing this.
