got the new door rabbeted, and stained. set it in place to see how it looks. almost done with this one. made a rolling platform to make it easier to move around. will be doing up the new splash board tomorrow.

almost done with this one. got the doors shellacked, and ready for hanging. checking to see how things look by setting it all up. added a board on the back to make it easier to pick up. cut, sanded, sealed, and stained the new back splash board. should be able to shellac the back splash, and hang the doors, then it will be done.

so close to being done. attached the backsplash board, laid out where i want to put the door hinges, and put in the adjustable shelves. also glued the shelf for the secret compartment in the back of the left drawer.

Don't recall seeing a barbers bench that dark. Seems they are white? Still looks very nice.

yup, and it is amazing what one can do with ordinary construction grade pine from home depot.

done and out the door! got the right hand door on, and picked up the top from being refinished, and plopped it on the base. pics with doors closed and open, showing the adjustable shelves. then a pic of the sign for his wall. then a pic with the mirror in place, and the drawers opened to show the insides. also a pic of the secret compartment (and goody box) under the left hand drawer. then a pic with all of the items. last, but not least, a rare pic of me, with my friend russ the barber, and a pic of russ with his new bench and mirror. he was so happy, he paid the last $100 of the price we agreed on, and then some. someone who won't be mentioned, got her cut too....
