Halfway Between CNC and a Router Table

Stumbled upon this video tonight on YouTube and figured I'd post it here for any interested parties. I think most of us here already have a router table and/or CNC router, but for those who don't (and maybe some of us who do) this might be of interest. It's not inexpensive, but neither are most good tools.

As an aside, this guy has a pretty interesting channel. He's done several videos where he's purchased woodworking tools from cheap Chinese sites and compared them to their "real" counterparts. I should also note that he does use the occasional off-color word, but honestly, I doubt there's anything in his videos the average 8 year old kid hasn't already heard.

Cool. But at the price of a small CNC and extra for the miter gauge thingy . . . I guess it would be a choice between your specific most-used case if you could only afford one or the other. Definitely a cool product. I do similar processes with the DRO on my tablesaw. The memory and programming features are pretty slick though, eh?

I had similar thoughts about it. I guess it might be appealing to people who are intimidated by the programming necessary with a CNC rig, but feel more at home on a traditional router table.

+1 on the Tablesaw DRO ... works like a charm. Since my router is in an extension wing on the saw ... never thought about connecting the DRO to its fence or simply using the saw rip fence. Off to the design table.
