how do you create you image when doing Lithopains on your 3D printer

Refining the process.... I changes the max thickness(2mm) and lowered the layer height (.5mm) as well as edited the picture to eliminate stuff that was not needed. I still need a little work but it's definitely getting there.

Did you use that site above for creating it?

I forget the setting in S3d that makes the extruder follow the outline of the piece rather than jumping across open areas, it helps prevent stringing. Might dial back the extruder when it changes direction a little too to get rid of the boogers.

yes I did. Still am trying to figure out how to get rid of the artiifacts.. the little bumps etc...

I'll see if I can find the night light adapter I drew up, lets you place it at the bottom of the curved lithophane from that site in the slicer and print them together, so that you can clip it on a nightlight.

thanks Darren, Ordered the night lights from amazon. I might use the Chiron printer to print up the holders I can print several at a time on it and use the Kobra to do the litophane work.

You might want to just arrange the stl files (the clip and lithophane) so they overlap, then print them as one.
