Now I am not talking about Wally or Beaver....I am talking about a pint-sized cleaver.
Okay, I admit it....I saw a picture of a Gerber Tri-Tip which is a cute little knife. I wanted to see if I could make a reasonable facsimile. Here is my attempt. The real knife by Gerber has three sharp corners and two cutting edge. The bottom edge is sharp and the front edge is a chisel edge.
I could not duplicate the grinds and since I have never actually seen one of these knives my little cleaver is a poor facsimile. It will cut on both the bottom and front edges but I lost the sharp corner at the junction of those two edges. Already it has become our favorite cheese knife for cutting off slivers or hunks of cheese. About 6 1/2" long and handled in walnut.
