Todays completed project:-
Following a request during the local Village Hall craft sales fund raising event on 30th. Nov. for some additional items, I have managed to season some blanks and to get my act together. Hopefully that will be enough, there's not time for me to stage the turning to meet the dimension control this side of Christmas for any more.

Oak & Walnut, CSS & 3mop buffed with carnauba wax.

Any special tips or hints you mind sharing?

Only Two Essential caveats really.

1. Body and internal piston wood needs to be fully seasoned, (part rough turned and allowed to move as its will.) before final dimensioning.
2. It must be designed so that it does not spill contents as soon as someone picks it up.

So do you drill the outside case from both ends, leaving a ring on the inside and the toothpick loads from the bottom and then assembled and bottom of tube put in. This way if someone goes to move it by the top handle it only comes so far out/up?
