this one took a while, and i needed the help of the sis in law who works at a local liquor store. one of the items i'll be making are a set of wine bottle holders that reflect and item from 2001: a space odyssey. the holder will be the same dimensions as the monolith (1x4x9), and finished out in gloss black lacquer. the fun part was looking for just the right bottle for the display. well, it was found today, it's a nice bottle of ramos pinto port, 2001 vintage, in nice big, easily photographed red numbers. on a side note, the bottle is black too....
