I think it needs to be cut off at the base and put inside so it stays that nice.

Being carving one of the ww variations I love, I can't help it but I have encountered feelings about some of these carvings.

Very, very nice. I haven't seen anyone do a pouring bucket before. Eagles, Raccoons, Foxes, and Bears yes, but no buckets.
My cousin owns a diner in Sandy Hook, CT and she has a standing bear holding up a coffee mug out in front of it. I think that she told me that one of her customers made it for her. I had a photo of it, but can't find it now. If it turns up today, I'll add it here. I carve sometimes, but have never tried anything large like that. My carvings tend to be more in the style of relief carvings.
