Bored - Saw Rack v1

I had been fooling around with a saw rack idea. Nothing original.

Used the freebie saw and can still count to 10.

Needed a 30 degree and a 60 degree cut.

Took a while but I found my raised panel carrier.

Did the trick. I cobbled a small support for the small cutoffs. Came out pretty good.

So I batched them out.

A little work with the router sled for the repetitious dados and I'm off!

For those that haven't seen this; I use DAP and PVA together on small or awkward assembly tasks. The DAP acts as a clamp to hold the small parts, trim, etc. till the PVA sets.

I boogered one of the dados but, this is version 1 and may not even work .

I glued on one of the front covers to test it out. I clamped it to the carrier as ballast. This would normally mount to the wall, wall mounted tool cabinet wing or a cleat.

I guess it depends on if it works. You can pick up a bag of 1" 'super balls' almost anywhere.

My tapered DT saw volunteered.

You slip the blade into the slot with a bit of an upwrd motion to raise the ball. When you lower the saw the ball wedges in and grabs the blade.

Holds on well enough for me to be comfortable about it. It is designed / scaled for Dozuki, DT and flush trim saws.

Finished up. Close enough for Version 1 anyway.

Another odd-job taken care of due to boredom. I have been meaning to swap these uncomfortable little metal handles.

With these fat plastic ones I picked up at Re-Store.

Much better grip on the old vertical panel jig.
