Summer Has Finally Arrived!

After a cool and rainy (well, more rain than usual) spring and early summer, the heat of summer has finally arrived. We now get out early in the morning for any exercise and work outside and then lay low during the afternoon. That will be our routine all summer. The humidity starts out in the 40's in the morning and goes down to about 20 or less in the early evening. So it is a fairly dry heat, but will still cook you if you are directly in the sun. Not bad in the afternoon if you are in the shade.

Yesterday it was 94, but today will be cooler because of some cloud cover.

Gee, I wish we had nice spring weather like that. Here we are in the high 80's or 90's with humidity levels above 90% This morning upon arising the weatherman said it was 84 degrees but feels like 91. Now it is 87 and feels like 93.

Our night time temps are 20 degrees hotter than what you are reporting.

Actually, our temps have been in the same ballpark as yours, but with almost double the humidity. And our weather's mild compared to all the truly humid places in this country.

Yep, Upper 90's to 100's this week for us.

Time for me to enjoy a nice chelada in the pool in the afternoon, lol.

We having been topping the day out at 116 for that past two weeks. And, according to the forecast there is no letting up. At least the humidity has not been particularly high. That can be a real good thing.
