need help, new house

The sawmill I buy from is near a prison Matter of fact is just across the street from him. Working farm prison. Lots of new homes going up nearby. Someone pointed out that is the last place an escapee wants to be! Near the prison.

Stu, I may have it figured out, then again it may be a circus waiting to happen.

Well shoot that one down, The roof wasn't as bad as the contractor said but it was worse than the owner said. 4 sheets of ply would have taken care of it. The trusses where still sound. Crawled all through the attic other than that one spot there was no evidence of further leaking.

The garge was an add on at a later date and wasn't done too well. But I would have ripped it off anyway. The kitchen was trashed from the water. It just swelled a split the cabinets and the flooring, got into the crawl space under the kitchen Floor joists where all still sound.

The bathroom floor needed ripped up and replaced.
Then we got to the basement It's been wet 18 inches up the wall. and was covered in mold, there was evidence of mold all through the ductwork. I'm not dealing with that much mold.

Onward in the search, I will find a cheap fixer

Note to self. Since the foundation is (usually?) the deal killer, next time I'd start looking in the basement, before I crawl around an attic!
