I used to visit Arkansas frequently. It seems virtually every restaurant had turkey fries either as an hors d'oeurvres or as a main course. The local guys would always try to get me to try this delicacy. I had no idea at the time what they were. I'll never forget asking this cute little waitress what turkey fries were. She turned as red as a beet and asked, "You don't know do you?" I did not know and told her so. When she told me they were turkey testicles I turned red as a beet.

Attended a Testicle Festival in MT when I lived there - still have the T-shirt somewhere. Unfortunately they had to close the even after 35 years because of attendee behavior problems. Good eats.
