It's a resin base but not sure what compounds.

Yeah, it's a case of "Just be cause you can, doesn't mean you should".

The customer who owns this is a forager and brought me a number of weird pieces to restore. Therevare a few pieces I'll post up when I get back next week.

This chair could have made him a Sam Maloff (sp?) but it didn't reach the correct group in the appropriate time. If it only had a cameo role in "My Favorite Martian" or some out of this world show and who knows what would have happened.
