Fabric Hutch in the works (Was Dry Bar in the works)

I have been wanting to make this for a while and finally have it in the works, it will be 44" wide x 36" tall x 18" deep. So far I have the pieces for the base carcass cut out, drilled for 1/2" dowels and dry fitted. Now on to more parts and pieces

you have to remember my shop is in the basement, I sweep frequently (Jim spotted the dust pan), don’t want to bring dust upstairs, that tends to make Joy not happy with me, don’t want that

To be honest my friends I had completely forgotten about them. If I remember well I made one for each of you as present on the Tour de Wood 2010 Geez time flies!! It warms my heart to see it there.

Great job Tom! I'm looking forward to seeing it finished!

A little more accomplished on this project, yard work and beautiful 70 degree weather has interrupted shop time, that all changes Wednesday when the weather goes back into the 40's. I have made the tongue and groove side and back pieces, pre stained all 34 base pieces and am ready to assemble the base, then on to doors, drawers and shelves

Well, this project has sat for 2 years and I realized I really didn't need a dry bar, so this is now going to be a fabric hutch for my wife (yes my decision ) so here we go!



Changed to a single drawer and lower section will have adjustable shelves on the right and left side in for stacking fabric skeins.
