It's gonna be a cool and sunny day1 Wheee!!! Shop time. First to clean up and then have a wiring situation I need to take care of. Nothing hazardous. Just need to replace some ancient Square D breakers. Then back to work. Shop time all weekend as far as I know.

Lunch with granddaughter, will take lunch, chili not so good at cafeteria. Then school program. Lots of fun. Hope it warms up soon. Getting tired of this cold dark weather. Can't complain as no flooding or ice and snow. That's something there. Need to get some shop time to maintain sanity.
Everyone have a safe and healthy weekend.
David

Well, let's see . . . 82° Wednesday afternoon . . . 40° this morning . . . forecast is 28° Saturday morning . . . good time to stay under the covers!

Anyway, I'm in my shop this morning to do the next steps on two cremation urns: laser engraving tree of life on the front of each, then starting glue-up of the 8-sided boxes.

Not sure about Saturday yet, but I should do more work on the urns . . . we'll see if I can drag myself out in the cold!

Sunday will be the usual routine of me preparing brunch, then getting settled in for the NASCAR entertainment!

Working today, but I'm having lunch with the grandson this afternoon. It is supposed to warm up here this weekend, so hoping to get the rest of the barn door assembled and pickup a few more boards to get the window frame started. I'm not sure the wind is going to cooperate to get some of the leaves picked/chopped up, but may try. My wife is nursing a cold, so I'm trying to avoid getting it and will let her rest.

cold and windy here today chance of rain tomorrow so indoor activities. Going to the gym this afternoon. maybe, just maybe get started on the bathroom tile jobs, maybe not.. Got a little work work to get done also this week end and need to finish up getting my stuff together to send to the accountant for income tax preparation. Need to get it to her to see how much I owe... :(.

It snowed last night and we got about an inch, enough to make it pretty, but it's not sticking around for long because we are supposed to get up into the 40's. The schedule includes some shopping escort, a bit of shop clean up and finishing a couple of bowls from the big stack of rough outs that have been living in the attic for a long time. Turning those cured, hard, rough outs isn't nearly as fun as turning green wood.

Cooling off here with showers expected tomorrow. I don't think it'll be cold enough here in town to snow, but it wouldn't surprise me if the nearby mountains get a dusting.

Heading over to my sister's house in a bit to run wiring and install a Ring floodlight camera in her driveway. Should be pretty straightforward, and fortunately their house is less than a mile from Lowe's, lol.

Saturday, LOML and I are going to the library in nearby Placitas to attend a talk about Chester Nez, one of the Navajo Code Talkers in WWII. The presentation is being done by Chester's grandson as well as the author who wrote a book about Chester and the other Code Talkers.

No plans yet for Sunday, but I'm sure we'll find something to do. ;)

I am sure it will be interesting he is one of the few remaining code talkers still alive. There are only 3 or 4 of these heros still with us.

Hartville Hardware is having their semi-annual Tool Expo this weekend. Went over there (45 miles away, so it's 'local.') this morning to look around. Ended up buying a new Milwaukee 12V angle grinder to replace an old Makita corded one.
Also got a hundred board feet of FAS cherry for $2.99 a foot. Good price for KD cherry around here. It's usually around $4.40 at the Amish mills.
Had a nice lunch at the Hartville Kitchen.

We had about 3" of snow last night. Temperatures have barely been above freezing all day. Of course it doesn't have to be that cold to keep me in the house. Since the nerve damage from chemo I don't do cold; heck I don't do chilly. Supposedly it will be in the teens tonight. Already the talking heads are talking up the black ice in the morning. I will not see it.

If it gets warm I try to go to the shop but I am limited to spring like temperatures.

Tomorrow morning I'm driving 2.5 hours to my daughter's house to drop of my little Chihuahua for my grandson to "babysit". I hate to leave her there really as I'm going to miss the little criminal next week, but I promised my grandson that he could sit her while he's on school vacation.
After that I'll drive 45 minutes to my oldest son's place to visit and check out his latest project, which was kitchen cabinets.
I plan on coming home tomorrow evening so that I can do some work in my shop Sunday. I'm still trying to make it organized and clean in there.

It's a never ending task.;)

Bitter sweet day tomorrow, my oldest daughter is getting married. I made something for the occasion, I will post pictures of it afterwards.
Looking forward to the pics. They are never what we expect of them in the beginning. Of course our FILs felt the same of us. ;)

Chester passed away in 2014. He was the last surviving member of the original 29 Code talkers. (More than 400 Navajos had learned the code by the end of the war.) I believe there are only about 6 of them alive...I wouldn't be surprised if his grandson knows the actual number.

My bid is 5 borg trips... :D
Ha! Did it in two! The second trip was for four screws that fit the plastic outdoor j-box I used to mount the floodlight cam on. Ring provides a variety of lengths of 8-32 and 10-32 screws, which are pretty much standard for round fixture boxes. The box we bought needed 6-32 screws. I've gotta say, the folks at Ring do a good job of making their installations easy, and they actually have clearly illustrated English instructions that are more than wordless pictographs intended for people who can't read. :thumb:
